THE BIG QUESTION OF LENGTH

Hey there! You are about to read some of our wonderful site descriptions and review the table below which indicates length ranges. In addition, on our Camplife booking portal each site has a specific length listed and the system will ask about your rig length to ensure you can book with confidence! We get asked all the time what does the length of the site mean. Well here you go!

  • Listed lengths indicate the maximum permitted bumper-to-bumper length of all vehicle, trailers, hitches, bikes racks, unicorn hood ornaments, etc. WHILE CONNECTED.
  • Vehicles that are disconnected may park perpendicular to RV in order to save space and fit a larger RV than would otherwise be able to fit if remaining connected.
  • As a general rule of thumb: we are very clear on the length of our sites. It is your responsibility to take an accurate measurement of your rig IN THE CONFIGURATION THAT YOU INTEND TO CAMP WITH in order order to ensure fitment in the site.

A Couple Examples –

  • A 25′ travel trailer + 18′ pickup = 43′. If you wish for the towing vehicle to remain connected to the trailer this configuration would require a site with an indicated length of 43′ or greater.
  • The same 25′ travel trailer above + a DISCONNECTED tow vehicle parked perpendicular in front of the RV (you can assume most vehicles are 8′ wide) = 33′. This configuration would require a site with an indicated length of 33′ or greater.
  • A 44′ motorhome + 4′ hitch assembly + 15′ Jeep = 63′. In this scenario, the Jeep would need to be disconnected and parked in overflow (or in the dedicated parking spot of a Big Sky site).

RATES

We want to let you know right up front: We use dynamic pricing here at Granite Peak RV Resort.

The short-and-sweet version is that when we are less busy our sites are discounted, and when we are packed the cost goes up. Sometimes way up. Ultimately, the computer decides the price, but we have seen as low as $28/night and as high as over $300/night.

Once you make your reservation, your rate is “locked in”. The price you pay will not differ from the amount shown during the checkout process.

Standard Pull-Thru – 40-48′ Level Gravel Full-Hookup Pull-Thru

Featuring the same dimensions as our most premium Big Sky offering, our Standard Gravel Pull-Thru FHU sites accommodate RVs of all types up to 40-48′ (depending on specific site) feet combined bumper-to-bumper length of all vehicles, hitches, bike racks, etc. This gravel site which is sloped slightly to allow for water drainage features wide open spaces and plenty of room between you and your neighbor. 20/30/50 Amp electrical service is provided via a standard pedestal. Water and sewer hook-ups are also available at your site.

Standard Pull-Thru – 38′ Unlevel Gravel Full-Hookup Pull-Thru

Featuring the same dimensions as our most premium Big Sky offering, this site type accommodates RVs of all types up to 38 feet combined bumper-to-bumper length of all vehicles, hitches, bike racks, etc. This gravel site is considered “unlevel”. We typically recommend these sites for fifth-wheels and travel trailers, as they can raise or lower the front landing gear/jacks and obtain level easier than a motorhome. Motorhomes, depending on the wheel-base length and the capabilities of the levelling system, may not be able to achieve perfect level without the use of boards, pads, blocks, or other devices. One (or more) tires may need to be raised off the ground or blocked in order to achieve level.
